Sailing Yacht 'Cloa'
Kings Ametyst II
May 2022
The boat name is 'Cloa'. She has her name engraved. Not much is available of her previous history, except it is known that her previous owner was a maltese carpenter and used to take very good care of her until his wife left him and he ended up in a hospital. 'Cloa' was subsequently neglected and was at sea for 3 years.
Her current owner found her and came to her rescue. 'Cloa' was in a very sorry state but overall she did not have major damage.
'Cloa' is currently in the process of a refitting but very close to being completed. Location is Malta.
Here are some photos showing the before and current situation. The most recent picture is the one with the black undercoat. The keel was also removed as it was needed to replace 3 inches of wood( due to sea worm). '
'Cloa' is a King Ametyst II as she is close to 35 ft and 38ft including the bowsprit. The engine is a 30hp beta engine of 2014 with only 200 hours. She boasts a large sun deck and is very sturdy at sea.
